Arsenal's mission for payback in recent days marched on. Following dismantling Aston Villa, it was Andoni Iraola's Bournemouth to feel their wrath despite being gifted an early lead through a rare Gabriel Magalhães mistake.

Gabriel made amends by scoring the equalizer, before the returning midfielder marked his comeback with a decisive brace as Arsenal extended their advantage in the title race.

The Arsenal manager had vowed his players had learned following previous loss on this ground. Following a sloppy opening 45 minutes, the signs suggested old habits remained unlearned. However, a much sharper display after the interval, inspired by the midfielder's dominance, secured a fifth consecutive three points and sent a stern warning across the Premier League.

Early Setback and Immediate Response

Earlier results meant Arsenal's cushion trimmed before kick-off. The positive news, though, arrived with Declan Rice passing a late fitness test. Perhaps mindful of an upcoming clash against rivals, Arteta rotated, as star wingers and Trossard among the substitutes.

Bournemouth, sticking with the same team, watched their forward almost create a dream start within seconds. Against the run of play, the first goal fell to Bournemouth when a wayward Gabriel pass was intercepted for Evanilson, slotting home with ease.

Mikel Arteta's frustration clear, however his mood changed with the culprit who provided redemption. After good play from Noni Madueke, a scramble ensued for the center-back, who fired in with his weaker foot to restore parity.

Rice Rises to Seize Control

The first period remained far from fluid for the visitors, with striker Viktor Gyökeres finding it tough while the Bournemouth forward proving a constant menace. Tempers flared before the break, as Arteta exchanging words with the opposition and heading off down the tunnel.

The team talk at halftime had a dramatic effect. Within a minute after the break, a slick move involving Gyökeres and Martin Ødegaard set up Rice, who made no mistake flew past Djordje Petrovic to put Arsenal ahead.

The England star had more to offer, adding a second minutes later following a brilliant team move between Saka and Martin Ødegaard. His celebration affectionately for the cameras, with the away side seemed to be in complete control.

Late Nerves But Job Done

The home side, refusing to give up, found a late rally. Replacement Kroupi unleashed a spectacular long-range effort which soared past David Raya to set up a nervous ending.

Bournemouth pushed desperately in the dying moments, leaving the home supporters incensed when the final whistle sounded during one last attack. However, for the victorious team, it was all that mattered: another vital points towards relentless title pursuit.
