No league markets parity as effectively as the NFL: it’s the entire brand. But through 10 weeks in this campaign, this is not a competition that is equally balanced among elite teams, poor performers, and average squads. Instead, it's a scenario where the bulk of franchises is simply fine.

NFC Standings Definition

Within the National Football Conference, at least, we see clearer definition. Los Angeles and Seattle (each holding 7-2 records) appear to be the most complete teams across the league, and secured decisive victories on Sunday. The Eagles with six wins notwithstanding their difficulties continue to possess a deeply skilled squad in the league, comparable to Green Bay (5-2-1). Detroit as well (6-3), despite their uneven performances in trench play and have been dealing with coaching drama, have demonstrated they can defeat good teams. For each of these squads, one can readily envision a championship trajectory.

AFC Playoff Chaos

Over in the AFC, championship race is thoroughly confusing. Your four division leaders after ten games: Indianapolis, New England, Denver (all standing at eight wins) along with Pittsburgh (5-4). Consider that carefully. No Chiefs presence. Buffalo is missing. Not the Ravens or Bengals. Indianapolis Colts

However, if Jones reverts to his previous error-filled form would terminate postseason aspirations.

New England Analysis

New England appears somewhat similar. Previously, they were league laughingstocks. Today, they stand as the NFL's most pleasant shock and the hottest team across the league following seven consecutive victories. Except for committing turnover errors a contest they should have won versus the Steelers, they'd possess at 9–1 with the best record. In the prior year, they were old and slow. Now they’re youthful, quick and confident. However, we must acknowledge the ease of the Patriots' matchups. They've encountered the least challenging lineup in the league, and flaws have still emerged. The signal-caller has taken sacks thirty-five times – among the highest totals – and some of the shots he endured during the game appeared dangerous. With continued play, that punishment compounds.

Denver Analysis

The Broncos are also 8-2, and the perception remains that they're barely surviving. Bo Nix has been erratic, with the attack struggling, while the defensive unit provides most of the responsibility. Without serviceable quarterback play, the Broncos aren’t scaring anyone in the postseason. The Chargers are also hovering within their division at 7-2, but the injuries affecting their protection unit will create difficulties to achieve championship contention.

Steelers Examination

And then there’s Pittsburgh, somehow still leading the AFC North notwithstanding receiving a decisive loss to Los Angeles on Sunday night. They've been outscored overall, their defense regularly vanishes, and Aaron Rodgers’ limitations during his career phase persistently appear. They maintain a 5-4 record while surviving, but Baltimore, featuring a recovered Jackson with manageable games ahead, have won three consecutive. We shouldn't be completely astonished that the Ravens have pulled to within one game of Pittsburgh, but how rapidly this occurred represents criticism toward Pittsburgh’s inconsistencies. The fact Baltimore began the season 1-5 and still look like capable of division victory speaks volumes regarding the complete conference.

Established Contenders

Baltimore constitutes part among three elite teams – together with Bills and Chiefs – fueled by former MVP signal-callers, who could still create the most fear for opponents should they reach postseason. They’re the No One Wants To See ‘Em teams, however, both franchises continue to self-destruct.

Buffalo Bills
