Salah Issues Apology to Squad, Reveals Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has shared that Salah expressed regret to the group of players in the wake of the uproar from his recent interview.

What Happened

He was omitted from a European match after criticising the club and stating his connection to the head coach had broken down.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”

Arne Slot has refused to comment publicly on whether he was apologised to from the player.

Moving Forward

Jones insisted that the team's response stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, his demeanour was positive and we all treated him normally,” Jones added.

Jones also implied that a player's desire to start is preferable. “It's clear there are different methods you can go about things,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just be on the bench, then I think that’s more of an issue.”

Positive Results

Liverpool's form have been impressive in the matches since the initial controversy. He feels the forward's comments were not designed to harm the team.

“In moments of frustration, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” Jones concluded. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and securing victories.”
