Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in a California Vehicle Accident
The visionary game developer, who helped create the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California aged 55.
Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.
The celebrated video game developer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a highway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, as reported by.
"This represents an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and all those touched by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
